our ladybug

Lily's Halloween costume was the cutest ever.

turning 1

October 29th, Lily turned 1. We had such a good time decorating for her parties and opening her gifts. She loved her cakes. We celebrated with family and friends and it was such a great time. Thank you for all who celebrated with us.

11 months

I can not believe our baby girl will be 1 in another month. It does not seem real but it has been a great 11 months. Right now, we are busy planning her big birthday party. It is cool because I get to look through all her pictures and see how much she has changed and grown. It is a blessing that I am able to stay home with her and watch her become her own unique person.

surprise

I have been having some pains so I went to the doctor on Friday, Sept. 24 and got a surprise. Daniel and I are expecting another baby. Lily will be a big sister. I was so shocked when the nurse told me. I have an appointment on the 20th to find out more about this new addition.

We are so excited and hope that you follow us on this journey.

Thank you to our family and friends for your love and support.

selling my hobby

I have decided to start selling my items that I crochet. I'm finishing my tree skirt now and it looks really good. I'll post pictures of the stockings and tree skirts. If you're interested in me making these items for you, please check out my Etsy page. I can only do so much at a time so it's first come, first serve basis. I'm crocheting beanies (hats), scarves, newborn cocoons and hanging pods. I have several other things I'll crochet and they will be posted on my website so just look there for items.

I'm really excited about doing this because I love to crochet and I hope to share my handmade items with you.

If you are interested in the stockings and/or tree skirt, please let me know ASAP so I can have those ready before Christmas time. Just to let you know a time line, I finished 3 stockings in a week and the tree skirt in less than a week.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please let me know. You can email me at illbecrocheting@gmail.com or through my Etsy page.

summer visit to Biltmore

We decided to go to Biltmore to see the flowers and enjoy it during the Summer. It was nice but so hot compared to other times we have visited. We had a good time and I think Lily enjoyed herself also.

10 months

Time is flying by fast. Can not believe it's been 10  months since our baby girl was born.

9 months

We now have a crawler. About 2 weeks after the 8th month post, she decided one day she was ready and took off. So it's harder to take pictures of her but enjoy these.

playing catch up

Lily is now 9 months and gets into everything. She is pulling up on everything that she can and crawling everywhere her little butt can fit. I have no new pictures put up right now because my computer decided to die. Once I can sit down and relax, I'll catch up.

I'm also crocheting stockings and a tree skirt for Christmas. I'll post pictures when I finish. I'm impressed with myself. I've also finished Daniel's beanie and they look really good. I've also done a couple of beanies for cancer patients. It was really touching to crochet a beanie for a good cause. I'll do more especially since Winter is around the corner.

8 months

It has been awhile since I've posted anything because Lily is growing so fast, I'm spending as much time with her as I can.

my new hobby

So I decided to find a hobby that I would enjoy doing. Browsing through Michael's one day, I decided to try crocheting. My first project was making Lily a beanie. I am excited about it but not too thrilled how it looks when she wears it so right now, I'm in the middle of making Daniel a beanie and then on to make Lily another one.

My next projects:

our little sitter

I've been working with Lily on sitting and since the middle of May (6 1/2 months), she's gotten so much better and now, we have a sitter. Next, crawling.

The Brittny look

7 months

As always, time as flown by but we have enjoyed watching Lily grow so much.
